The 5500’s standard 6.4-liter Hemi V8 has been extensively revamped to be lighter and more fuel efficient. Paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission, the Hemi V8 produces 370 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 429 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. This option packs a good punch, but most drivers will opt for the 8-speed automatic transmission for a boost in horsepower. With the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel, you’ll find best-in-class max. trailering at 35,220 lbs. along with a best-in-class max. GCWR up to 43,000 lbs.
